OUT IN THE SILENCE
acclaimed documentary filmed in Oil
City and the surrounding area
by Joe Wilson and Dean Hamer
Following the story of a small
American town confronting a firestorm of controversy ignited by a same-sex
wedding announcement
in the local newspaper, this gripping documentary illustrates the challenges of
being an outsider in a conservative rural community
and the change that is possible when courageous people break the silence and
search for common ground.
Out in the Silence will
challenge you to rethink your values and help close the gaps that divide our
communities.

The Howling Dog Gallery-Cafe SOLD (photo
J. Sowden)
As of June 1, the old Howling Dog
has become the Derrick Deli -- the same specialty coffees and teas, great
atmosphere,
and a new deli menu in the heart of the arts district.
Classy Catering on Seneca Street is now serving fine baked goods in a bistro
atmosphere.
And the old Singers building has been purchased and is being
renovated with the arts in mind.
Look for new Art Inside banners on the lamp posts of the arts district!
