Capacity crowds of up to 400 packed the fifth-floor conference room throughout the three-day event, according to co-chair Ron Shoup. The shows were co-hosted by the Oil City Arts Council and the United Way. Although free and open to the public, the festival raised thousands of dollars for the two groups through donations and raffles. The dozens of groups playing at the event were not reimbursed at all, and they traveled from throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and New York. |
