Art show winners 2011

The 12th annual Oil Heritage Festival Art Show featured 294 entries in adult, young adult and children categories.  Sponsored by the Oil City Arts and Culture Commission, the show was curated by volunteer Sufana Chowdhury. Serving as judge was Catherine Josyln, former head of the art department of Clarion University.

The best of show winners were William Brady Jr., adult; Kelsey Ghering, young adult; and Ethan Walkowski, children. As part of his prize package for best of show, Brady will be the featured artist for a group show at the Graffiti Gallery on Seneca Street.  The adult popular choice award was given to Ashley Biltz for her piece “Reincarnation.”

Along with the art displays, the event included music by Rachel Stiller and the Empty Yesterdays and geocache spots in the National Transit Building.
