Art show winners 2011
The 12th annual Oil Heritage Festival Art Show featured 294 entries in
adult, young adult and children categories. Sponsored by the Oil City Arts and Culture Commission, the show was curated by volunteer Sufana Chowdhury. Serving as judge was Catherine Josyln,
former head of the art department of Clarion University.
The best of show winners were William Brady Jr., adult; Kelsey Ghering,
young adult; and Ethan Walkowski, children. As part of his prize package for
best of show, Brady will be the featured artist for a group show at the
Graffiti Gallery on Seneca Street.
The adult popular choice award was given to Ashley Biltz for her piece
Reincarnation.
Along with the art displays, the event included music by Rachel Stiller
and the Empty Yesterdays and geocache spots in the National Transit Building.
